Originally developed from a greenfield site in 1977, Jerusalem Creek Marina and Holiday Park has steadily grown since and now boasts over 200 permanent camp sites, with more lower development, and over 130 houseboat berths at its Marina. The park does not currently cater for casual camping, however, plans are in deposit to flourish casual camping sites in the future. Simplicity Jerusalem Creek Marina is also the only marina on Lake Eldon that offers its houseboat owners walking access to the marina 365 days of the year (with the only exception being when the lake is under 6). Our Holiday park and Marina may be for annual site owners only, but we do still have a couple of options for the public to enjoy our park’s surroundings with our boaters and our Lake View Apartment. The new regulations are largely the alike as the 2003 regulations with some excess provisions to help BMW better manage house boating on Lake Eldon and improve water quality in the Lake. Lake Eldon is the only inland waterway in Victoria where houseboats are permitted to operate and it’s BMW’s role to manage the water storage which includes over 700 houseboats. BMW asks that operators and owners receive responsibility for their waste and ensure that only domestic rubbish is placed in the bins provided. With lake levels now returning to areas where numerous spontaneous vegetation regrowth has occurred, houseboat operators may experience some difficulty in accessing popular mooring areas around the lake. BMW’s houseboat inspection program was introduced to ensure compliance with the houseboat Regulations and to ensure that over a period, effluent issues that have the potential to threaten water quality and human health are minimized or removed. This provides access for four vessels at anyone time. Located on the shores of Lake Eldon we cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner and are fully licensed.
